Enabling gift cards

Purple Dot checkout does support gift cards but only for merchants on Shopify Plus.

To provide gift card support, you will need to ask for additional API permissions for our app from Shopify. 

Here is the request that you can send to Shopify support, we cannot send it on your behalf. 

Hi Shopify Support,

We use the Purple Dot custom app to manage our pre-orders, and it needs the following:

• Additional Admin API access scopes: write_gift_cards, write_gift_card_adjustments

• A beta flag: giftcard_api

Please enable the Purple Dot custom app to use these Admin API scopes and the beta flag.

Note: It is important that the write_gift_card_adjustments scope is given not just write_gift_cards
